A favorite phrase that the Left is bandying about these days is that we (America) are on the wrong path.

Well, I must point out to these airheads that the wrong path is the one that brought us to 9/11.

What?......They want us to return to failed policies? To go back to the sort of Jimmy Carter-esque ideas that are so lame-brained that the rest of the world got it into their heads that the U.S was a 'paper tiger' and could be taken advantage of and defeated.

No......I have to say to the people who so idiotically parrot this mantra that we are now on the RIGHT path and we're not going back.
So sit the heck down and shut up. We're tired of hearing stupid stuff.

Dusty I couldn't agree with you more.

I think Ralph Peters said it best in "When Devils Walk the Earth".
Quote:
Do not be afraid to be powerful… Our great strengths are wealth and raw power. When we fail to bring those strengths to bear, we contribute to our own defeat. For a superpower to think small—which has been our habit across the last decade, at least—is self-defeating folly. Our responses to terrorist acts should make the world gasp.

… Whenever legal conditions permit, kill terrorists on the spot (do not give them a chance to surrender, if you can help it). (example: the air strike on al-Zarqawi) … This is war, not law enforcement.

I'll second that as the root of our march to 9/11.....for those who live in alternative reality space, it all started in hollywood, with the demise of American Westerns and the rise of the anti-heros...spiderman comes to mind tho' I never watched it...and I can't remember which was first, spiderman or Carter Wink
