Wow,
We've had the opportunity now to see Tony Snow in action for a few weeks...but I'm thinking the real beneficiary is our President George Bush seeing Tony in action!
I originally thought that Tony Snow was gonna be the wrong guy in the wrong place for GWB, and may be a disservice to the presidency. Boy was I wrong. The pair (GWB 'n Snow) are doing a White Hat, Black Hat rope-a-dope on the White House 'press' corp...everybody should be retired so they can see it too! Tony was the best thing to happen to Pres. Bush, since the 2000 election! I give a goodly chunk of his ratings increase directly to Tony showing our president that it's ok (and easy) to make the 'press' laugh at themselves! and our commander-in-chief, George was up to the task in spades! The laugh is gonna be how many of the repubs know to take advantage of it between now and their elections in November! Good leaders don't have a problem with the press in reality...the lightweights in the 'press' may ask dumb questions, but our good leaders know how to get back on message, don't they!
