And a telling statement about the conditions in which the current war is being fought.

				That is so accurate - it's exactly what we're being fed when we watch the news! 
 
 
Blathery banter and pointless questions. The quippy little "sound-bite" answers trickle down to us and the important issues are lost to us because the answers don't fit into a 3½-second clip.

btw, this reminds me of something...
 
 
surely our troops get  'breaks'  don't they?   I mean,  a few at a time 
 
 
can leave the shooting etc and  go for a snack or cig....
 
 
isn't  the required by law for each so many hrs of work?       
 
 
if they don't, it must surely be a violation of some kind...
