I add my thanks to all of my fellow Veterans. I can only hope I watched your back as well as you watched mine.
I have reposted a dedication to Veterans that I penned a couple years ago on my blog. I invite all of you, especially those who considered themselves "support troops" to stop by and read it.

I had a really good Veteran's Day this year. My #3 Son-in-Law
arrived at Peterson AFB from Bagdad with his unit having served
a year in-country as an infantryman. I was talking on the phone
to my Kid yesterday. She stops amazed, and says "Omigod! He's
vacuuming the front room floor!!!". The world is right again.

Glad he's home safe and sound and able to vaucum Snipe.
My thanks to all my fellow vets too. And to the Swift Boat Vets and POWs for this forum on which to make my thanks public.

LOL!! Bet that little mundane chore looked pretty good compared to his year in Iraq.
I'm glad he's back home and God bless him for his service. _________________ “I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. ‘Tis the business of little minds to shrink; but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death.” (Thomas Paine, 1776) |
