Just for the record, I have NO interest in the details of the captivity of William Ownby and Shawn Hornbeck. The tap dance the media is doing around the possible salacious and lurid elements of this story is disgusting and gratuitous...and ultimately harmful to the victims and their families.

A pox upon them if and when this element is exposed and sensationalized.

On a lighter note, William Ownby looks to me like he just jumped out of a Norman Rockwell painting...what a GREAT kid Wink

That the man is under arrest and the boys safe, that's good enough. I expect questions about Shawns 'capitivity,' over 4 years, but how they will be asked and replied to remains to be seen.

Other than that, I don't need soft porn editorials describing in detail whatever the boys went through.

Something tells me we will see daily 'reports' from Great Van Sustern on Fox, though.

If teh powers that be wanted me to watch her tripe, they wouldn't have given me a power off option on my remote Wink

I couldn't agree more with both of you. The MSM should lay off and back off.
Since William Ownby and Shawn Hornbeck are both minors, it would be in their best interest if a judge would impose a media blockout on everything relating to them. Usually the media doesn't even get the names of minors unless there's been a murder. This is to protect the kids.
This media circus has been disgraceful.

I live near St. Louis and remember quite clearly when Shawn disappeared.

It is because of people like Michael Devlin that I am a strong supporter of capital punishment...why should my tax dollars be spent to keep this man alive?

What i would like the media to report on is the Judges who continually let these creeps out on low bond or short probation period. Until the Judges finally get it that these creeps will continue to prey on our children, we have to remain vigilant. We need to get back to a community feeling and keep our eyes open to strange people in our community and don't be afraid to ask what they are doing.
