|
|
Saying anything about John Kerry and "presidential candidate" in the same breath is akin to standing in the center of a church group, and screaming obsenities and racist remarks, so I'm not even going there.
But there has to be someone out there who is acceptable, and who wouldn't be subject to the degradation and name-calling, which seems to start within minutes of anyone being named as a possible candidate.
My guess is someone, regardless of their faults real and perceived, on the following list will be our next President.
Clinton
Thompson
Edwards
Obama
McCain
Giuliani
Romney
Gilmore
Dodd
Brownback
Bush (the Florida version)
Being as the SVPT is non-denominational forum, I'm just curious which of the above would be acceptable to you? |

Duncan Hunter has right ideas about immigration, etc. How's he stand on gun control and abortion? |

A perfect ticket would be Duncan Hunter and Sam Brownback, but since the Republican party has been taken over by RINO's we are probably going to be stuck with Guiliani in 2008.
Senator Hunter has a son in Iraq and he's been endorsed recently by General Chuck Yeager. His stance on immigration is why I am backing him. |

I also think Guiliani will wind up with the Republican Nomination even though I don't agree with his positions on gay marriage and abortion for example. But right now I don't see the Republican party going with another hardline Conservative. The midterm elections have scared them. |

I hope it scared them straight - back to the conservative values that the majority of America has. I think Newt would win if the grassroots of conservative people actually listen to his plans and goals. The Reagan Democrats and Conservative Republicans can save this country of ours (even the rest of the world if nneeded) if we can simply get our crap together. _________________ "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I’m here to help." Former Governor of Wisconsin and Sec'try of HHS for George Bush until shortly after the 04 elections.
Now testing the waters for a Presidential bid.

"Thompson" could also be any number of Congresscritters (Bennie - MS, Mike - CA), maybe Fred (actor, former Senator), Gonzo Hunter S., who would draw well in Cook County, Illinois, or the athletic John Thompson (basketball coach or high jumper, take your pick).
They all have as much chance of becoming President as Tommy has. _________________ Former "War Criminal" |

I could not vote for McCain...I feel he will be the favor. I like Newt but he will never win the primary. I would vote for Giuliani. I am not familiar with Duncan, so cannot say. But I think Giuliani will hurt because I think a lot of the far right would stay home and allow a democrat to take the office and if that happens We will see...much to early to predict too much. _________________ Born to raise a little hell! |
