I'm not going to be able to go on the 17th (physical limitations or believe me I'd be there) but I was just thinking that since many of our members here are going to be attending, maybe a place for all of you to meet each other could be set up ahead of time. Just some area that everyone could find easily around or near the Wall maybe.
I'm not familiar with the area but I bet someone here is and could suggest a spot to hang around and meet other forum members.
Just a thought.

(add on comment here)
And maybe a stickon name tag with your forum nick on it. Wouldn't mean anything to anyone but us.

Sounds good to me. I'll be there.

I haven't been there in a long time. Anyone know if parking close by is available? With all of us going and the anti's parking may be hard to find.
Maybe the hotels have a shuttle service? Any suggestions?

My prayers for safety will be with all of you. And I thank you for what you are willing to do for all of those men and women who are represented on The Wall and for all of we family members who cannot make this trip.

May God Speed and grant all of you safety and peace.

Parking will be a premium with the anti group and ours there. I would suggest parking some where else and take a cab.

Many of the hotels have some shuttle service, or with as many eagles staying at the same places we can share a cab. I will be there, limping along as fast as I can. See you at 10 and looking forward to meeting you all.

Everyone, there is NO parking in that area. If you are staying at a hotel, get a ride to the closest metro stop and take the subway from there. The trains will be packed, I'm sure.

Here's the metro map http://www.wmata.com/metrorail/systemmap.cfm The closest metro stop is actually Arlington Cemetery. From there, you have to walk across the Memorial Bridge and around the Lincoln Memorial to the Wall. The hardest part will be crossing the circle at the approach to the bridge--that is a very busy intersection. The plus is that it is a level walk--no hills.

I'll be praying for all of you tomorrow(today!). be safe.

I'll also be watching for you on the news. IF a camera is aimed at you -

wave - and I'll wave back!

God bless all of you.
