Mike, When Don Imus asked you this morning why the SBVets were lying about John Kerry`s war record your answer was, "because they hate him." Of course they are not lying but why do they hate him? If you were a veteran in a combat zone and someone feigned some injuries to exit two months earlier than you even though you were there six months before Kerry and received real wounds you could better understand their anger. Then to go home and accuse them of unspeakable war crimes. Think aout that for a while. |

Here's the Email I wrote to Barnicle this morning after listening to his crap:
I listened to your lively discussion with Don Imus this morning. As usual, your words are laced with hyperbole and disgraceful comment. I was a 17 year old High School grad in 1969, so the comments I make come from growing up in a mid-western state at that time.
If John Kerry's "Christmas in Cambodia" story is the standard by which we are to determine the Senator's veracity, then I'll belive the Swift Boat Veterans every time. Kerry used the Cambodia story countless times to bolster his opposition to Presidents Nixon and Reagan. He used it on the floor of the Senate and in the Boston Herald. But the story of boats and jungles and sniping somehow disappeared from Kerry's biography by Douglas Brinkley, "Tour of Duty." Instead he places himself fifty-five miles from the Cambodia border. Kerry's own handlers can't even get the story straight as of yesterday. Yes, Mr. Barnicle, let's use Cambodia as the standard.
When the DNC dispatches a brigade of attorneys to threaten and cajole tv stations in an attempt to stop ads, something is definitely amiss. Lanny Davis, Susan Estrich and their ilk would do better to advise Kerry to release his records and answer the Swifties. Hiding, not answering, dodging and obfuscating will be Kerry's undoing.
Perhaps Kerry's trip to Paris to meet with a delegation from the Northvietnamese while the war was still raging irritated some folks. Wonder why.
Does John Kerry have the right to use his 4 months of duty in Vietnam to bolster his resume? Sure. But then don't denigrate the veterans who served much longer, earned as many, if not more medals (but didn't thump their chests), and DID NOT return and stab in the back their comrades in arms who challenge those 4 months. When you do that, you wrap yourself in that UPSIDE DOWN FLAG on Kerry's book, "The New Soldier." Folks like you and Kerry are anti-war. That's fine. It's all over you like white on rice. Kerry has, with his inane salute and nine crew members, attempted to deceive America into believing he is not. You have sacrificed your journalistic integrity by playing along with his charade and NOT informing people of who and what he is. Thank God there are other outlets. The word is out. And it's not going away anytime soon.
The "Pornography" you speak about is the lie compounded upon lie that John Kerry has perpetrated on the people of Massachusetts and now the American people at large. I pray for you and your family if this man is elected as President. |

If you want to know "why they hate him" [Kerry] ask Boston's Howie Carr.

I for one didn't need this whole Swift Boat thing to dislike Kerry.......though the allegations herein are sure in character for the guy. |
