I just came accross this site: http://www.mnf-iraq.com/

It's the official Website of the Operation Iraqi Freedom Multi-National Force.

It will give you a 'boots on the ground view' of what's going on in Iraq.

I was amused by this video http://www.dvidshub.net/vjump.php?vid=19666 of our 'friend' Lurch visiting Basra Air Station 16 Dec 06
