Bill Clinton: Hillary Won’t Be 'Swift Boated'
Bill Clinton has sent out a mass e-mail to supporters seeking donations to Hillary’s presidential campaign and vowing that she won’t tolerate "swift boat” tactics against her.

Good lord, we must have struck fear in the hearts of liberals everywhere.
However, she ain't Kerry, and Kerry is the only one we'd go after.

I was somewhat taken aback when I read the following...

Quote:
Kerry was slow to respond to the group’s allegations.

Um...Newsmax...that's the lefty version of his failure to respond to the allegations AT ALL. I'm sorry to see them reiterating this canard.

Make me puke....Kerry's the lead on today's Drudge urging fairness in 'talk radio'. He's still got all the MSM carrying water for him with the "unsubstantiated" tag applied to anything Swift-Boat. Of course the rest of us are still waiting to see the 180 or the original DD214.

What I found more interesting than the Kerryspeak was the fact that Drudge (I assume it's really him) appears to be using YouTube to host videos. I suppose it's ok with Google as long as Drudge is offering some leftist rhetoric.

And now...back to the topic...

"Swiftboat tactics" expose truth to prospective voters...and there is no shortage of truth torpedoes with Clinton's name on them. Little wonder at Clinton's level of paranoia.

In the case of the Clintons, maybe "Loveboated" in the case of Bill, and "Garbagescowed" in the case of Hillary.

My girl's a corker
She's a New Yorker
That boys is where my money goes.

She's got a pair of hips
Just like two battleships....

...and truth torpedoes just bounce off. They're "old news".

El Rushbo chimes in...

Quote:
Democrats Sow Seeds of Eventual Defeat

June 27, 2007

Nobody's reported -- well, the Chronicle reported it locally, but I mean the Drive-Bys are not talking about the fractured nature of the Democrats on this because they're so hepped up, they're so excited about the fight going on between Bush and the conservatives and Bush and the Republicans. And of course they're excited about Paris Hilton getting out of jail. They're excited about Lindsay Lohan still being in rehab. They're all excited about the Fairness Doctrine. They're all excited about Slick Willie saying his wife won't be swift booted. There's another example. Boated. We are losing the language -- I like swift booted better. Not one allegation that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth charged made against John Kerry has ever been shown to be false, and yet the Drive-Bys say they are unfounded allegations.

Clinton's out there saying I'm not going to let my wife get swift booted. What he means to say is, I'm not going to let a bunch of lies told about my wife stick. We're going to fight back. That's the way Clinton, Inc., works. But the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth had truth on their side.

May I point out that the Swiftvets' allegations were substantiated enough to cause Kerry to lose, and to not run again for POTUS.

So the "unsubstantiated" claim is merely petty vindictiveness with a large helping of self-delusion at this point and is worthy only of the utmost ridicule.

Found this being used as a signature on Power Line:

Swift-boating : Telling an inconvenient but essential truth about a prominent person’s past

All,

in the theme of "those who forget history are doomed to repeat it"...Klinton/Kerry's useful fools (MSM) of course continue to 'get it wrong' on such issues as 'unsubstantiated', swift boating, etc. The scary thing is...
American Media has such a long history of being manipulated by Dems, Unions, Axes of Evil, KGB, socialists, etc.....that's the history that concerns me! It's blatant every nite on Network TV (not that I ever watch it)...even fair and balanced Fox gets all the useful fools to spout their lies.

All an american history book would have to do is add a little Japanese History about Iwo Jima ( I know you guys have heard of that little island):

Quote:
Through a series of political maneuverings and assassinations, the military seized power and began drawing up plans in 1925 for a war with America. Japan envied the United States and its vast natural resources, of which they had very little. Japan considered itself a superior race, a nation of warriors and felt it was their destiny to dominate The Pacific and Far East.
The military set out to alter the very structure of Japanese society. Schools became boot camps, the teachers - drill sergeants. Free thought and open critical discussion were outlawed. The children were taught to hate America at an early age (sound familiar?). Japan explained its conquests as a crusade to rid Asia of white colonial rule. In fact, those they claimed to be freeing were enslaved by one of the most brutal, barbaric regimes in history. When China’s capitol, Nanking, fell in 1937, the Japanese Army committed unspeakable carnage against it’s unarmed civilian population; raping, torturing and murdering over 369,000 men, women and children in less than three months![i] During World War II, Allied soldiers captured by Nazi Germany died at a rate of 1.1 %. Those held captive by the Japanese however, perished at a rate of 37%.
(Now, as to) ...Iwo Jima ...
To the Americans, it was a staging point for the inevitable invasion of Japan. For the Japanese, it was home soil; sacred ground that had been a part of Japan’s empire for over 4,000 years. An invasion of Iwo Jima was an attack on Japan itself.
The Japanese began fortifying Iwo in May 1944 when the Emperor himself handpicked General Tadamichi Kuribayashi to head up the island’s defense. The General knew he could not possibly win the battle. Instead, his effort would be to kill as many Marines as possible, and shock the war weary American public into not supporting an invasion of Japan. This media-manipulation was later used to great effect in turning the tide of public opinion against the Vietnam War. His strategy was to let the Marines land unopposed, and once the beaches were clogged with men and equipment - destroy them.*

....and then the history book's conclusion would read...."and media manipulation" by forces of evil continue to this day in order to sell newspapers, magazines, and 'air time'!
So much of the above Japanese history is ironically being repeated today...by our current axis of evil. And the blood money is still going to the same manipulated media. Anyone see an MO in all of this...just for kicks....take the media out of the picture (ie, assume a literate population that has learned to find the truth, in spite of media lies). Eventually the blood money would stop coming and the axis of evil would quit wasting it's time on our useful fools....call me an optimist. That day may come soon. Japanese History shows that 'successfully' implementing a media manipulation scheme didn't necessarily end in Japan's 'favor'! Let's hope our current axis of evil doesn't test the American resolve....and finally, let's hope there still is an 'American resolve' (which by the way you won't see at all in our current 'senators'). (oh, and perhaps most importantly, it was a Democrat who pushed the nuclear button!)

Deuce
note * I pulled this out of a discussion of one of the marines of the Marine Monument (flag raising at Iwo Jima), Franklin Sousley, a good read in and of itself, but any 'factual' history of Iwo Jima should read similarly:

He was "slow" because he has no response (i.e., lie) that would not get him into even deeper water.
