Powmias,
Now that was classic, thanks for the laff.
It's a lack of 'Johnny Carson' pillow talk that may be contributing to 'road rage', senate 'failure-speak', global warming cults, terrorism, and many other ills on the planet today. Methinks we weren't seen as a paper tiger in 1992 (or in the '60s when the program excerpt was shown), tho' we were in 1990! Warning, I'm a big fan of connecting the dots!
Another warning, I'm not a fan of Lawrence Summers, but Harvard did fire his a$$, so the old adage, an enemy of my enemy is my friend applies here in this 10 year old letter from the Klinton era:
Quote: | Since 1990 military spending has declined from 5.5 percent to 2.2 percent of GDP in IMF program countries and has declined as a share of public spending while social spending has risen.... | the single most likely reason that AlQeda sees 'the West' as a paper tiger!

I'm looking for the '08 election process to surface a 'paper tiger' death squad to run for election in the US. I believe that to be possible, and will enjoy the squirming of the sKerrys, Murthas, et al who would suffer most in such a whirlwind of Congressional / Presidential reform!
again,
thanks for the laff,
