Does Professor Despommier Teach at Columbia University?
Or is he a Global Warming religious fanatic indoctrinating the youth and possibly worse? University of Texas professor Eric Pianka made the case for Ebola killing off 90 percent of mankind and returning Earth to a “sustainable population.” Of course, rational people think he’s a lunatic, yet the audience of peers cheered his idea. What seems like lunacy to most is shaping out to be normal for the fringe. Global warming is the religion of the moment for the outer limits of society wishing for a scorched "humankind" policy to then remake the world in their nightmare scenario.
Three months ago while reading Popular Science magazine, I came across ‘The Vertical Farmer' article about Columbia University Professor Dr. Dickson Despommier and the ridiculous idea of turning skyscrapers into farms. First thought that came to mind was, these leftists are going to run into problems the Biosphere people could only have dreamed of after their failed enterprise. But why would seemingly smart people such as this scientist want to make such an effort to grow corn? He says it is because we are running out of arable land, yet that is not an honest statement as our country’s breadbasket in the Midwest can easily crank up production to accommodate any increase in population, provided we are talking about stable political areas.
We tried like heck to feed Somalia, yet were run out of town. I thought of the crazy Pianka wanting to kill off 90 percent of the human race, then the conditions in North Korea where residents of Pyongyang recently starved to death. North Korea didn't have a food shortage problem as much as a food delivery problem. They had food in the country side, yet no food in the cities or the ability to get it shipped in. Kim Jon Ill wouldn't let his people leave for fear of countryside revolt. So shoot them if they try to leave and the least significant amongst them, let them die off. Population control.
People such as Despommier realize the need for food within the city after 90 percent of humankind dies off. History has taught them this lesson for their future utopia. Next thought which crept upon my now cautiously curious mind was: What type of professor is this Dr. Despommier? Incredible and sadly not unbelievable. This guy is the Professor of Public health and Microbiology in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University in New York. In short, the guy’s specialty is infectious diseases, the kind of which these crazies need to unleash on the world once they get their skyscraper farms built. It would be funny if not so deadly serious. We need to be keeping watch on this guy.
He recently gave a speech at the 60th annual DPI/NGO conference at the United Nations. The forum was titled Climate Change: How It Impacts Us All.
Despommier is a Global Warming 'True Believer,' expert in infectious diseases and advocates skyscraper farms to feed people in a world he believes is over-populated. This should give any rational person great cause for concern. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."

Tom Clancy uses Ebola as a weapon of extinction in his novel Rainbow 6. The group of extremist environmentalists enhances the strain with cancer genes and plans to infect the population of the planet beginning at the Olympics and having it spread to pandemic levels. _________________ "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I’m here to help." Actually, if Global Warming is real, we'll soon be able to farm all the way to the Arctic Circle. Problem solved, Professor. |

Wow, Clancy is on target as always and I need to read that book. Clancy would love to read about this Columbia teacher and his idea of turning skyscrapers into farms. We live in dangerous times. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."
