I have a question I am curious about. My father who is a retired Marine of 23 years was telling me the other day about how his unit kept basically what he called a diary, I can’t remember exactly what he called it right now, but I’ll ask him later. I’m not sure if this was just his unit or what, but the way he talked it sounded like something that was done throughout the Marine Corps.

My thought was if the Marine Corps did this, than maybe the Navy kept something like this also, and if they did, maybe it would shine more light on this whole thing about where and what Kerry did in Vietnam.

For you Marines, I can’t remember the name of the airbase, but it was a helicopter base in N.C., if you remember a small snot nosed red headed kid running around that base back in the ’70’s, it was probable me. Very Happy

The some of the best memories I have as a kid was living on that base.

Dad was stationed at MCAS Cherrypoint, North Carolina from 1961 to 1965. He shipped to Vietnam from there. I was born in 1959 so my memories of Cherrypoint are vague.
