While we're on names.
When did the site adopt the Navy Rank designations for posting levels?
Was this recent?
I see admins and founders stayed the same.
Was this in the past few days or am I just oblivious? _________________ Swift Boats - Qui Nhon (12/69-4/70), Cat Lo (4/70-5/70), Vung Tau (5/70-12/71) |

Well Admiral ( ), I was looking around for something to do (always a risky development) and ran with an old idea that we had kicked around a bit a LONG time ago. Just for fun and I thought you forum members might be amused.
I've split this into its own topic so as not to hijack the original...

I think it is a good idea. It probably will generate jealousy among those listed for the lower ranks. _________________ Terry Boone PCF 90

There was no intent to hijack the thread. The rank based tags just took me by surprise. Nice touch though #1#10. _________________ Swift Boats - Qui Nhon (12/69-4/70), Cat Lo (4/70-5/70), Vung Tau (5/70-12/71) |

I do not know if you spelled balut correctly, but the thought of that is "fowl" I could never, never have gotten that drunk. _________________ Terry Boone PCF 90

Master Chief is quite impressive and it reminds me of what my buddy who left the Navy as an EOD Lt. Commander told me years ago.
He said I would have made a good Chief. Isn't that a bit condescending coming from a buddy who is an officer? Oh well, I still liked it. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."

Well I'm paying attention aren't I. Totally missed it. I must not look at posting numbers I guess.
Neat touch though.

Don't feel bad Dusty, I missed it too.
Not very observant of me.
I should get demoted for lack of attention. _________________ “I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. ‘Tis the business of little minds to shrink; but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death.” (Thomas Paine, 1776) |
