In a recent commentary, "GOP Pins False Hopes on Hillary Blunders", Christopher Adamo of the "The New Media Alliance Blogs" writes...
Christopher Adamo wrote: | Had Kerry truly been an innocent victim of an unwarranted mudslinging campaign, he could easily have disproved the allegations of his accusers by releasing his military records. Yet it is now 2007, and in the intervening three years since this debacle began, he has failed to do so. Case closed. |
Unfortunately IMHO, Mr. Adamo (and MANY pundits who address this issue utilizing the same argument) uses FAR too wide a brush in opining that full public disclosure of Kerry's records would "disprove", assumedly and in toto, "...the allegations of his accusers" and suggests a less than thorough comprehension of the issues.
This greatly over-simplifies the breadth of the allegations against Kerry and profoundly understates the depth of a case already made based both on records he has already released and FACTS that have already been established...and are irrefutable.
While the public release of Kerry's records might certainly address a multitude of lingering questions relative to his active duty service, they would, in NO way, address the perfidy of Kerry's post-Vietnam activity.
However, since a defense of the veracity and credibility of the SVPT allegations and charges against Kerry wasn't the main thrust of his article (though he does a commendable job of debunking the campaign to pejoratize "swiftboat"), I'll attribute his overstatement above to a lack of adequate reflection on the depth and breadth of the SVPT case against Kerry.
Nonetheless, a good read and I commend it to you. |

Indeed, it is the broad scope of Kerry's post-Vietnam anti-military activities which drew/draws the ire of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and the vast majority of we Vietnam Veterans.
Yesterday, the FOX NEWS ticker (running along the bottom of the tv-screen) mentioned Kerry accepting a Texas oil-magnet's offer to pay $1M to anyone who could disprove the SBVT's allegations pertaining to Kerry's medals -- not a word about their allegations pertaining to Kerry's 1971 Senate testimony. |
