Wednesday, Dec. 19

12:00 noon Eastern: Scott Swett will appear on The Thom Hartmann Show, KPOJ 620 AM, Portland, OR. Nationally syndicated on Air America, Sirius and XM.

Direct Audio Link - SRG - Call-in: 866-303-2270

Update: Here's a direct link to Scott's "interview" today. Hartmann launches immediately into the "...but they weren't on his boat" mode and then a fully-flowered BDS attack...I believe you can count on one hand the number of times he even mentions Kerry...

Audio Link

I actually enjoyed listening to Harkin years ago, yet this affirms he is now an ideological nut.

Other than some country and western songs, I can't think of anything more cathartic for the souls of our Vietnam Veterans than a thorough read of "To Set The Record Straight" by Scott Swett et al.............

especially for those of us who endurred our 40 year silence! Just wish our kids felt the same way...........this generation of mushkins may not survive their socialist tendencies if the Swifties/POWs aren't seen as the heroes they are!

What a great job “To Set the Record Straight” does in relating the facts of the Swift Boat Veterans and the fight to keep John Kerry out of the White House. How fortunate we all were to be involved in his defeat.

Now I wonder if there is one small tasks left for all of us who wrote so many letters, made phone calls and cheered on those who were doing the heavy lifting in this important cause. Once again in today’s political climate the old media is working from its own agenda that is not necessarily supported by the fact. Whether it is in the area of immigration, the primaries, the Iraq War , Congress or anything else important to this country.

I suggest once again we start writing and calling various media outlets telling them about “To Set the Record Straight”. Already there is a small buzz on talk radio about the “Old Media” dropping the ball. By promoting this book to show how the "Old Media" and those who relied on it were out- smarted, maybe the term “swiftboating” will take on it’s true meaning.

I have not been on this site since 2004, I guess I thought it was shut down or deactivated. Silly Me! I am nearly finished reading Scott's book although I have had it for some time. I cannot put it down. I put in my stack of Vietnam books to read and just kept moving it to the bottom of the stack. I believed that I knew most of what was in the book being a member of the SBVT and in a couple of the ads. The best part is on page 50 where Scott explains the procedure for the liberals to follow when challenged. First, deny the accusation and see if it goes away. Next, attack the source and pressure witnesses to recant. Adjust your position just enough to accommodate new facts as they emerge. If all else fails, concede the point, but insist it really doesn't matter. Wow, you only have to think back to the Bangazi affair and Hilliary's testimony after weeks of insisting "it was the video, stupid". I guess things haven't changed much since 2004. Great book, a must read and you fellow Kerry Haters, read this book, He is now the Sec of State. James Steffes, PCF-12 and others.

James, welcome back. You are exactly right in your observation of how the Left operates. What a shame the American people have become so gullible and complacent.

For more good reading and a look into the life of the Swiftboat sailors, I strongly recommend you visit Swiftvet Wey Symmes' site and pick up a copy of both of his books. Here is the URL (or just click the image):

Web site: http://www.warontherivers.com/

My wife homeschooled our grandkids, and these two books along with Scott's were part of the curriculum.

Thank you for the kind words. As for Wey Symmes' books, we are close friends and I have signed copies. I have not yet read "Latch" but the other one I have. Speaking of good reads, please check out my two books, " Swift Boat Down, The Real Story of the Sinking of PCF-19" and "Operation Market Time, The Early Years, 1965-66". Both are available on all book sites and as e-books. Talk to you soon.

Small world, Wey autographed mine, too. I will add your books to our homeschool library. I emailed Wey about your post and that we just got 14 inches of snow, and he said it is even snowing in Phoenix...this "Global Warming" is awful. Laughing

If you post your website URL, I will be happy to buy them from you...and if you want to autograph them, the kids will be very grateful.

Hello again,
I do not have a website URL, my books are self-published through Xlibris.com. They are available from there as well as Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc. I have copies here that I sell and autograph. Hardcovers are $34.00 and Softcovers are $24.00 which includes shipping. Both books are the same price. If you would like copies, I can take a check. My e-mail address is pcf12crew@yahoo.com. Drop me a post there and I can send you my snail mail address. I am not certain how secure this server is for those things.
Thanks so much, and I trust Wey gave me a rousing review. LOL
P.S. How can I get my profile advanced above Seaman Recruit??

Thanks, James, I will email you and order two hardback books, autographed if you don't mind. I think I still have some cash left. Let me look. Ah, yes, I do.

Our homeschool is the "Hershel Flowers Christian Academy", HFCA for short. It is dedicated to my late father-in-law. He served on the destroyer U.S.S Putnam, DD-757, in the Pacific during WW II.

Yes, Wey gave you a glowing description of when the two of you made a clandestine mission into Cambodia during Christmas of....ooooooops, wrong scenario. Laughing
