Frontline's "Rules of Engagement" is now available for online viewing here.
I watched it last nite and found it to be a rather balanced approach to the issue. The verdict (if I might paraphrase)...more an indictment of both insufficient emphasis and training on "rules of engagement" (which are characterized as having been corrected by the Marine Corps) and John Murtha's causal leadership in the despicable and overt political demagoguery (my words, not theirs) which surprised me somewhat.
I'm fairly certain of one thing though...it makes a fair case that might support individual exoneration if that be the outcome of the various courts-martials. |

What I saw of Mirtha is that he is dispicable liar equal to John Kerry. The interviews he did gave the impression he had kno0wledge of the facts of the case. Bottom line was that he did not have a clue as to what happened. These Marines should sue him for everything he has.
It also appears that the charges that have been filed were only because with all the investigating they have to charge something. There is no way they are guilty of anything. |
