My brother and I went to Vegas last weekend for the national roofing convention to study the latest trends and take refresher courses on various topics. While there, we decided to visit Hoover Dam and on our way out stopped at the scenic viewpoint for Lake Mead.
This picture is a panoramic of 4 shots. Taken with canon 20d, 10-22mm efs lens, cable release, mirror lock-up and F-11 aperture. It was miserable conditions with rain and very cold, but explained to my brother this is ideal for good photos.
If you look to the right of picture along the coastline there is a white line which shows how low the lake is. It is close to 50 feet below its normal water line. The water line is very clear on the middle island as well.
Very happy with the shot. Hope you enjoy.
