When I watched the 5/4/04 Press Conference you held on C-Span, I felt I was witnessing a whole lot of soldiers preparing for a battle -- in a set and determined way. And then the media went silent -- and I thought, what the heck? Don't you see what I see? These guys are getting ready to move out and they aren't looking back until the job is done -- I felt their energy -- I had become one with them before John O'Neill even finished his introduction.

And I thought, okay, I'm in ... I've been waiting for this for a long time -- you see, I was just a kid during Vietnam, and I remember Kerry leading protests and I remember how I listened and was influenced and began to distrust our government and to accept that our troops were ravaging the countryside and that the war had to stop immediately. I believed him... until he debated John O'Neill and then I began to wonder what Kerry was talking about. And then my brother came home from Nam and he told me about his experiences and I believed my brother -- and we both moved on in our lives, accepting that there was nothing we could do to counteract the feeling of a nation that had turned on its troops and its government. We knew what we knew.

Then suddenly here's Kerry running for President and I started feeling sick to my stomach when he trotted out his vet supporters and his military photos and I thought, how dare he? So -- I was ready for the SwiftVets holding their Press Conference that day. I was already there....

After the Press Conference, I watched and I waited and I wondered, where are they? Time passed. Then suddenly, out of absolutely nowhere, BAM There you were! ... the book, the interviews, the articles --and everyone scattered to the hills ..!! And the media/politicans are all gasping, "Who/what is 'this group'? And what do they want?"

They've come for John Kerry -- and hopefully, hopefully, justice will be served. He stands now upon the honor he took from them -- and they want it back!

I am so proud of the SwiftVets and all the veterans and am honored to join in this fight!! WELL DONE. You have given so very, very much.
