I read a post in "Powerline" blog referencing an amalgam of "American tunes" on another blog, sorted by reference to states of the union. One song in particular caught my attention, "Big River"...originally performed by Cash way back when and later performed by Cash and "The Highwaymen" during their collaboration in the late 80's (listed under "Minnesota" btw).
Much to my delight, I found a pretty high quality presentation of their arrangement and performance on "You Tube" and have played it a dozen times or more this holiday weekend. Sure does keep my toes a-tappin'! I thought you might enjoy it as well...

Good find, alright #1..........lotta talent on that stage....Johnny, Willie, Waylon, and Kris.
Sure puts to shame the noise pollution they call music nowadays. _________________ "In a word, I want an American character, that the powers of Europe may be convinced we act for ourselves and not for others; this, in my judgment, is the only way to be respected abroad and happy at home." --George Washington |

ok.. I spent way tooo much time there, listening to all the selections by those Highwaymen (and more)
as an aside, had the opportunity to catch Kristofferson in concert with Roseann Cash - they did some some tribute songs to her Dad - great concert
thanks for the link _________________ .
