I was the Mortar Platoon Leader of the 1/69 Armor 4th Inf Div. I had 4 Mortar Tracks and a Cmt Track. An Armor Platoon was 5 Tanks (4 men each) and lead by an Lt (!st or 2nd). 3 Platoons to a Company commanded by a Captain an so on.
Can anyone tell me how the Swift Boats were organized and how the boats were grouped (my number) and did these groupings change or were they relatively static. How were missions organized (2 boats lead by the senior OinC?) (6 boats lead by an officer over the boat OinC.s?). |
