Well, if it takes Ray Nagin and his corrupt cronies "Over the Rainbow", it might be worth a week delay in starting the RNC Convention. It will give the authorities more time to clean up this sort of "Welcoming Committee".

The story of Katrina & New Orleans is a biblical story that has been told time and time again throughout the dawn of recorded history. If leftists believed in God and read the bible, they would discover it in Sodom and Gomorrah.
New Orleans was given over 60 billion dollars to rebuild their city and the politicians stole nearly every penny of it. Sadly, the Bush administration turned a blind eye to the theft, afraid of being labeled racist. No matter, this had already been done. The city looks the same today as it did 2 months after Katrina hit.
Keep in mind those levee's are not in good condition. The city cannot withstand another hurricane, because the money was never spent on rebuilding the levee system and adding additional protective barriers to the infrastructure.
Just had a thought.
If Gustav does hit New Orleans and the city finds itself under water again. How will the political leadership respond to, "where did the money go?"
NOAA track maps of Katrina. These were on my laptop. In the northern hemisphere, the most dangerous part of a hurricane is on the right side of it, otherwise known as the dangerous semi circle. Katrina's dangerous semi circle hit Mississippi and the navigable or safer portion of the hurricane hit New Orleans.
The current track map for Gustav shows a possibilty of the dangerous semi circle hitting New Orleans, potentially causing the kind of wind damage not seen by Katrina. People of New Orleans need to consider this.

A friend of mine is a nationally renown Christian psychologist and teacher. He has written several books on family and kids and discipline...not Dobson, but just as well known. One of the families in one of his seminars had a kid in college, and from the first day, the professor would denigrate Christians and the Bible and say it was all lies and fairy tales and gibberish for fools. The kid had a great family and church background, and so when the professor went off on how it was actually the DEAD Sea and not the Red Sea and it was only 6 inches deep at the time Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, the kid just sat there repeating "AMAZING!" every time the professor made another comment. Finally the professor stared at him and said, "What's so amazing about leading animals and carts and people through 6 inches of water?" The kid replied, "Oh, there's nothing amazing about that. I was just thinking how amazing it was that God drown the entire Egyptian Army in only 6 inches of water." Class dismissed early. |
