Ok, what do you think? Did someone at the Pick 3 lottery place that number there on purpose? Or is it a random number that just happen to appear after Obama's election, in his state? Or is it a warning as predicted in the Bible that the number 666 would identify an Antichrist?

The number 666 is just an old miscalculation of the number of the beast - and "the anti-Christ" is not one, single, "monolith," so the number doesn't freak me out. The anti-Christ is everything that is against Christ - people, yes, but also cultural products like books, movies, music. And of course the evil one.

As for that number being drawn, I think it's interesting. "666" isn't the number of the beast, but I know that a lot of people believe that it is. Understanding the negativity around that number, I think it's interesting that it popped up the day after Obama was elected.

Yes, all of that. Isn't it odd that would come up by accident given the talk around the election of Obama? And in the state of Illinois, no less. Odd Coincidence? Or deliberate? It is interesting to say the least. I would love to find out how that lottery is conducted. It is too odd to not mention.

No need to phreak out about anything. If the antichrist is coming, and he is someday, why not pay attention to clues along the way.

BTW, I am now an Obama supporter, loyal opposition, against the world enemies. He is not the enemy, terrorists are. I just hope Chris Matthews does what I ask him to do. Find out the truth of any political situation to make sure the People and the US succeed against our enemies.

Do you think that will happen given the qoute from Matthews that he will do everything he can to make sure Obama succeeds?

I'd never buy an Illinois lottery ticket after that.
It just tells me that the lottery has a high likelihood of being rigged by someone with an agenda. That agenda could be political or it could be to reward friends and relatives of the rigger.

The day after a senator from Illinois, is elected president, the Pick 3 lottery in Illinois comes up 666. It's happened before, notably in Pennsylvania (12 times, including one time as part of a scam and once earlier this year, in Maryland. Some are jokingly (I hope) calling him the antichrist as a result. Others, namely numbers geeks like me, are spending their lunch hours looking up the history of lotteries drawing triple numbers and sharing it with MetaFilter.
