While I take no pleasure in the ignominy, suffering and personal degradation sure to be visited upon this man by his own hand, it is impossible to ignore both the breadth and degree of personal anti-SVPT bile that this individual concocted and employed in his promotion and defense of the fraud Kerry.
Nor did Mr. Sanders limit his ideological, self-serving propagandizing and personal brand of vindictiveness to the political arena, as he was a continuing source of strife within the fraternity of the Swift Boat Sailors Association, at one point even threatening to sue (or having actually sued?) them over an alleged public sympathy for the SVPT initiative.
As the LA Times' report below demonstrates, the MSM is already attempting to bury Sanders' close ties to and significant participation in Kerry's campaign, but other news sources (as a Google will show) are not being quite so benevolent to Jean Fraud...

Wade Sanders, a decorated Vietnam veteran and a former deputy assistant secretary of the Navy in the Clinton administration, pleaded guilty Monday in San Diego federal court to possession of child pornography.
Sanders, 67, of San Diego, had more than 600 images of child pornography on his computer, including a 21-minute video showing "pre-pubescent females" having sexual contact with an adult male, the U.S. attorney's office said.
Sanders, a lawyer, is a retired Navy captain who received the Bronze Star, Silver Star and Purple Heart for service as a swift-boat captain in the Vietnam War. He faces a possible 10 years in prison and $250,000 fine when sentenced March 30.
Under a plea bargain, prosecutors have agreed to recommend a prison sentence of five to six years. Sanders is a former military affairs adviser to Lt. Gov. John Garamendi and has also served as a military expert for local and national television.

Like us Swifties don't have enough bad press.
Wade did support Kerry and condemn many of the swifties, but being a Swiftie himself, now is in the crosshairs of the MSM.
Forgetting the Kerry connection, Wade is still a swiftie and the 2004 election is over.
I hope the charges aren't true and that Wade is the victim here.
My 24 year old daughter came to me last spring complaining that her PC was really slow. Two days of investigating and I discovered that it was infected with a 4GB secret partition, several thousand porn videos and was playing webserver to the porn community.
She didn't even know that it was there. As soon as I deleted the porn, the hidden server ap would just start refilling it.
Neither McAfee nor Norton would detect the sucker.
Knowing how someone can receive these things without knowing that it is taking place, I will reserve judgement until the charges against Wade are proven one way or the other.

Jack, I assume you just missed this but...he plead guilty to the charges and will be sentenced in March. This also, as reported, involved a plea bargain, details about which will probably remain unreported.
The only "victims" here are the children exploited by the child pornography that Mr. Sanders, apparently self-admittedly, chose to possess.

Apparently NOT, Wade,
You may have been on the boats in Viet Nam, but have since then you've lost the ability to make sound judgements and good decisions. An honorable responsible person would not be involved in child porn.
Research? Exactly what research were you involved in? Do you actually have an ongoing legal case (other than your own) that involves child porn?

Like the rest of you, this news saddened and disgusted me. The concept of "child porn" or any related activity is unimaginable to me as a civilized person. Participants and purveyors of such savagery should be segregated from humanity for the rest of their lives...which might be only as long as it takes to process all their appeals. What does it say about Kerry's judgment and discernment to have aligned himself with Sanders for so long and to have given him as much authority within his inner circle for all these years? ...but then, I guess the answer is obvious considering all of Kerry's associations over his lifetime.
As some of you may remember, I debated Sanders on Amazon.com in the Reader comments section for "To Set the Record Straight" and soundly defeated all of his arguments (and the rest of Kerry's "A" team). This brings no "Schadenfreude" to me.
Jack, I also had a similar problem to your daughter's, but I was able to clean out all of the bots and other malware using a free product you can download from http://www.malwarebytes.org/ . The malware also damaged my registry, but there are several good products to clean and help restore and backup the registry. An intrusion prevention program or "firewall" such as "Black Ice" or "Proventia Desktop Agent", which I use, is also a great idea.

Well...I Use Limewire to download music (esp. old music) and now I'll have to clean and reformat my HDs. I don't much care about Wade Sanders in this context. I scan regularly with several software packages... who knows what I might have missed?
For that (gritting teeth) thanks. |

#1, you've highlighted a common thread that runs through all of the Kerry followers, and to a large extent, through all Liberals. If they don't like the outcome of an election or if some group of like-minded individuals wishes to voice an opinion opposite to that of the Liberal, they SUE or use the force of law some other way or use outright thuggery to get their own way. In the totalatarian world in which Liberals live, this is perfectly acceptable -- unless used by the opposition. In our world, where individuals have rights, such conduct is abhorrent. |

MSNBC, several light years behind on this story, has made note...on Christmas Eve, 2 full days after the story broke. Don't bother looking for Sanders' high profile association with the Kerry campaign or his tenure as Deputy Asst. Secretary of the Navy under Clinton. As far as MSNBC is concerned, "pentagon official" and "senior advisor" to a GOP Lieut. Governor will suffice, thank you very much...

A former Pentagon official from San Diego pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing child pornography.
According to court records Wade Rowland Sanders, 67, admitted that on or around May 2nd, he had a computer which he knew contained more than 600 images of minors, including a 21 minute video. In the video, several prepubescent girls were engaged in sexual conduct with an adult male and performing oral sex on one another, according to U.S. Attorney Karen P. Hewitt.
At the time of his arrest, Sanders was the Senior Advisor for Veterans and Military Affairs to Lieutenant Governor John Garamendi. "Retired Navy Captain Wade Sanders resigned on November 8, 2008 as senior advisor for military and veterans affairs after he was booked on the charge. This type of behavior will not be tolerated in this office," Beth Willon, communications director for the Lieutenant Governor said.
Sanders provided expert commentary for many media outlets, including NBC 7/39. Watch Sanders on KPBS Full Focus discussing the militatry's role in the post Cold War era.
Sanders is a decorated combat veteran of the Vietnam war. He has received several honors including the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart.
In a telephon interview Monday night, Sanders told the San Diego Union-Tribune that he had downloaded the files as part of his research on an article on the sexual exploitation of children in foreign countries. The article quotes Sanders as saying "I have no sexual attraction to children whatsoever."
Sanders told the paper he didn't realize federal laws barred downloading or viewing the material even by researchers.
Sentencing for Sanders is scheduled for March 30. The maximum penalty is 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and up to a lifetime of supevised release and registration as a sex offender. Under a plea bargain, prosecutors have agreed to recommend a prison sentence of five to six years, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Tomorrow afternoon in federal court in San Diego likely will be a low point for him.
Sanders, 69, is scheduled to be sentenced after pleading guilty in December to possession of child pornography. He could face as much as 10 years in prison after federal agents found child pornography on several of his home computers.
Just as Sanders once stood behind Kerry, the senator is now standing behind him. In one of dozens of letters submitted on behalf of Sanders, Kerry urged U.S. District Judge Thomas Whelan to weigh Sanders' record of service and community work when making a decision on sentencing.
The hearing promises to be dramatic, with more than 50 people lining up in support of Sanders. In addition to Kerry, they include former U.S. senator and war hero Max Cleland of Georgia, who headed the Veterans Administration under President Jimmy Carter.
Also offering support are former Rep. Lynn Schenk of San Diego, a lawyer and longtime friend of Sanders; and numerous retired Navy officers, friends and relatives of Sanders. Bernie Jones, the Opinion page editor of The San Diego Union-Tribune, where numerous commentaries by Sanders have been published over the years, also wrote a letter opposing a prison term.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Alessandra Serano is seeking a 63-month sentence for Sanders, as well as a requirement that he register as a sex offender and be on 10 years of supervised release after he gets out of prison.
The case against Sanders started in October 2007, when an FBI agent went online to search for people sharing child pornography using a file-sharing computer network. The agent entered a search term widely used by pornographers, and among the results returned was one that eventually linked to Sanders' home computer.
A few months later, FBI agents raided Sanders' San Diego home. In court papers, Serano said three computers seized in the raid had child pornography on them.
Sanders and his attorney, Knut Johnson, say that Sanders was downloading the images as part of a research project on the subject. In her court papers, Serano noted that at the time of the raid, Sanders never told this to FBI agents.
Serano also said no notes or other materials relating to a research project were found. In a meeting with prosecutors before he pleaded guilty, Sanders did produce three pages of handwritten notes that were undated, she said.
Sanders also is arguing that his work was a product of an obsessive-compulsive disorder he has developed. He claims it is a product of post-traumatic stress disorder, which he said is a crippling residue of his combat service.
Sanders was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart in his military career. He led a Swift boat on numerous missions in Vietnam, often coming under intense fire and harrowing circumstances.
In a 13-page statement to Whelan, Sanders talks at length about that experience and how it shaped him. “There is a part of me that died in Vietnam and now, for the first time in my life I am facing that reality,” it begins.
One symptom of PTSD is compulsive behavior, Johnson argued. He said Sanders became “obsessed about writing an article or otherwise uncovering the source of child pornography.”
In his letter, Kerry lauded Sanders' record in the war and after, when Sanders became a prominent advocate for veterans' causes.
“The Wade Sanders I know is someone who has always put love of country first,” Kerry wrote. “He's been an advocate for his friends, his fellow veterans, his state and his country.”

The Wade Sanders I debated for almost 15 pages on Amazon.com about "To Set The Record Straight" was a foul-mouthed, vicious, Communist-loving, America-hater who continued to slander Vietnam Vets and defend the "Winter Soldier" liars and frauds and Communist poseurs. If the comments pages are still there, go read his words yourself and decide whether this vicious pervert deserves "leniency" or did what he did because of PTSD or any other legitimate reason. He is who he is, and his real personna got caught.
Maybe some of the Swift Vets who know him might want to file briefs at his sentencing countering Kerry's lies that are quoted above.

No kidding! AMEN!!! This is a predator we're talking about! I can't believe there is even any discussion about whether or not he goes to jail!
There is supposedly a "zero-tolerance" policy in this country for child porn! The man is an admitted pedophile - so why is this even open for discussion?
He needs to go to jail for a long time - just like all the other pedophiles and predators. He's nothing special - just another dirty old man with a disgusting and intolerable fetish. Let them all rot in prison, for life, if necessary - whatever it takes to keep our children safe from them.
