Fred Thompson adds his voice to the radio airwaves today...and I assume we can expect him to be less than Obama-friendly.
Rather ironic that his radio show debuts immediately on the heels of Paul Harvey's passing...for whom Thompson aired many quite popular guest commentaries prior to election '04...

Sorry Me#1You#10,
I really wanted Fred Thompson to be president and he quit. Hillary got down to levels lower than Thompson and stuck it out during the election. She doesn't give up.
I want a Conservative who won't cave and none of the candidates from the 2008 election are on my short list.
As for replacing Paul Harvey as a talk show host, we can check it out, but Fred has a steep hill to climb and Rush is King. _________________ Swift Boats - Qui Nhon (12/69-4/70), Cat Lo (4/70-5/70), Vung Tau (5/70-12/71) |

No need for that BJ as my note wasn't intended to imply any endorsement of Thompson as a candidate for anything (I, too, was disappointed in that regard).
That being said, I'll gladly celebrate (and circulate) every new voice of opposition to our collective nightmare. |

I have to wonder if another voice in the woods will actually accomplish anything more than adding another log on the fairness doctrine fire.
Obama's approval rating is still coming in at good to strong positive figures and now that the "Rush distraction" has gotten legs, many may discount unfavorable information as simply a GOP ploy.
Perhaps a cruising attitude should take place once again. Seems the presidential camp, when left alone, can do enough damage to themselves (as noted in the first 3 weeks of taking office). With another voice, most demonstratively conservative, begins hitting the airwaves it just gives Obama's supporters another target to wag their fingers at to distract what is going on.
Shoot, stage magicians KNOW you need to have a focus distractor in order to do slight of hand. Why should conservatives provide it for them? _________________ Why ask? Because it needs asking. |
