How low will "Duh One" and the rest of the America-haters go to punish Sarah Palin, Alaska, the military, and anyone else who doesn't bend the knee to the State? Where are the patriots in Congress? Surely they can trade some other boondoggle for a few bucks to pay these veterans what they are due. Introduce a standalone bill to fund the pensions. Maybe these vets should renounce their citizenship and declare themselves "illegal aliens" or join "ACORN"; then they would be eligible for $$$Billions.

...dollars to donuts these vets voted Democrat all their lives.

What a travesty. Without a doubt the worst president in history.
Looks like from the article that Palin picked up the slack. Hope Alaska keeps these people's back because the Fed. govt. sure isn't going to.

Sarah was able to have the state cover their pension on a temporary basis. At least long enough for our congessional delegation to try to move this back to where it should be. Our Senators, Murkoski (R) and Begich (D), have inserted language in the current defense appropriations bills to reestablish their pension.

Given also that most if not all 26 of the elderly, 90 plus years, gentlemen are Alaskan Natives from the villages I'd say you're making a safe bet there Tews.............

We've just seen the ultimate boondoggle with "Duh One" and his wife spending millions of tax payer dollars going to Copenhagen with their entourages in a failed attempt to secure the 2016 Olympics for Chicago.

Adding insult to injury, the "First Lady" described her cushy trip to Copenhagen as a "sacrifice." Tell that to the Alaskan veterans that have been tossed overboard.

They should have to explain it to the families of the Troops who lost their lives in Afghanistan last month, 30 days after General McChrystal requested reinforcements.

Instead of discussing what needs done there, he flies off to Copenhagen to secure an undeserved Olympics, 8 years from now, for Chicago.

Looks like the Democrats are hell-bent to repeat another Viet Nam surrender, wasting as many American lives as they can along the way.

And to top it off, denying pensions to elderly Veterans who did their part long ago is unconsionable.

This is NOT the ONLY boondoggle toward veterans this Nobama admin is part of. My son ( an Iraq war combat vet) had to go down to the Federal Building in West L.A. today, along with 50,000 other vets, to get his Post 911 benefits straightened out! It seems that there has been so much fraud with non-vets applying for benefits through this program (can you say ACORN), that Nobama had to stop paying ALL vets their Post 911 benes until the gumbment got it fixed! One woman, NOT a vet and never served, actually received $140,000 in benes. I guarantee this news NEVER made the elite news media, did it? This crowd is so anti-military, it's pathetic! Do you realize that we have lost 43 soldiers in Afghanistan in the month that Nobama has waffled and been indecisive, about McChrystal's urging for more troops? Mad

Does the irony of this travesty strike anybody else?

This defense appropriations bill is the same one that Kerry attached a $20,000,000 request to fund the Edward M. Kennedy Institute, or pay Teddy's bar tab, or whatever.

Where is the President's stern disapproval of that?

Disgusting.

Especially considering $20 mil would amply fund 100 times the number of survivors there are.

Oh, has anyone else noted this hasn't made the MSM approval list?
