Happy New Year to all as well. My younger sister emailed me to say 2010 is ending on a very cold note there in Tucson. Blizzard in the mountains and snow flurries/ice/rain on the valley floor. Too cold for desert folks like them. They prefer sunny, clear skies at about 75 degrees. Their trip to the North Pole (Grand Canyon) via the Polar Express was canceled due to blizzard conditions in Flagstaff, but rescheduled for next weekend.
My next older sister emailed me to say they were in NY for Christmas and their flight was canceled for coming home Sunday. Finally got home after seeing lots of snow on Tuesday. I told her to tell my brother-in-law that the NUDE X-RAYs of him from the TSA scanner were getting over 10,000 hits a day on YouTube.......I'm waiting for his reply.....
We had to suffer through blistering, sunny, 60 degree weather yesterday here in South-central Kansas, but it is back to normal now, still clear but possibility of snow near term, about 15 degrees with a warm fire in the fireplace and the dominoes itching to come out and play later. My wife and her mother will be making more "survival goodies" tomorrow...fudge is one of the basic food groups, right?
It must be GLOBAL WARMING!!!!! _________________ Find the perfect babysitter, petsitter, or tutor -- today! |
