I am a retired Army SFC. I spent 2 years in Viet Nam. Before I ever heard of you guys, I knew something was fishy with John Kerry's service in Viet Nam. I saw a lot of guys wounded, and received the Purple Heart. But, the ones I saw were in the hospital for 3 months or more. Does anyone know of any vet that got 3 Purple Hearts, 1 Bronze Star, and 1 Silver Star in a 4 month period. I know that some medals were shamelessly handed out. But not that many. He shames the men that earned those medals. And I am one of them. Who does he think he is? Audie Murphy. What really galls me is, if you believe the polls, he will be our next Commander in Chief. |

Handing out medals was not the norm. While I was there, no one I knew sought a PH. This is what brings serious questions about Kerry's awards. I'd met grunts at China Beach (in-country R&R) who were dinged up (walking wounded, not splinter damage) who returned to their units. Never once did these guys say " I'm gettiing a PH". We'd say "Have a beer", they'd say "Where you from?" and "What do you guys do?" . The worst wods out of thier mouths were that they were JETS or DOLPHINS fans. Welcome Aboard, Sergeant. _________________ BIGLOOK |
