That being said, she, like Bill, is incapable of doing the honorable thing. She will cling to her Secretary of State title until the bitter end, hoping that she can stick it out until inaugeration day and a graceful end happens upon the transfer of power to President Romney.

Any mention of her and "graceful" in the same sentence stretches credibility to the breaking point, IMO. Laughing

This Benghazi mess is really complicated and General Petraeus is Obama's "Get Out Of Jail Free" card.
Before he ever got appointed to head of CIA, the left hated him; but then Obama's goons found out that he was having an illicit affair. What an opportunity. Obama put him in charge of the CIA while knowing about the affair. This allowed Obama to have an instant scandal for that emergency where the SHTF and he needs a laser light show to distract the publics' attention.
Now, along comes Benghazi-gate and Obama is dancing on a hot skillet. What does he do? His minions point to General Petraeus and yell sex scandal. The public is drawn away from Benghazi-gate and the General is looking like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
Our Celebrity-In-Chief put the general in as the CIA head knowing about his illicit affair and squirrelled it away for the "Break-Glass-In-Case-Of-Fire" situation that he knew would come up.
If memory serves me, I think Glenn Beck talked about this very thing (but without knowing about the sex scandal thing) when Petraeus was installed as CIA chief.
I'm not saying that what the general did was good, it's just that he was selected for the convenience of Obama.

Someone asked me the other day, "How could he do this to his own people?" and my answer was that these *weren't* his people. They were OUR people.

*His* people were the ones attacking the consulate.

Oh that's good Navy.

I am trying to get in touch with OPSEC.

We need to pass along the info that the Pajamahadeen (that I was a member of) discovered and pass it along to them.

"What Difference Does It Make?" ~ SoS Hillary Clinton commenting on her ineptitude and callous ABANDONMENT and order to STAND DOWN allowing an ambassador and three other Americans to be MURDERED.

"Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?" ~ Vice President Joe "just shoot a shotgun through the door" Biden to the GRIEVING Charles Woods, father of SEAL Tyrone Woods, one of the abandoned and murdered Americans at Ben Ghazi.

Feb 4, 2013 – But if there's even one thing we can do, if there's just one life we can save, we've got an obligation to try," President Barack Obama said....Ambassadors or SEALs or staffers, not so much.

Nope, you just can't make such brutal callousness and ineptitude up.

do we know the time,
that the 'stand down' order went
to the SF team that was in Tripoli?

do we know the chain of command for how
that order originated? It is my experience in life
that often, one person can say 'yes',
but many can say 'no'.

According to all the experts from previous administrations who have made public statements, an order to stand down under those conditions would have to be given by or at least approved by POTUS, but until the investigation is completed, we won't know....and we may never know given the level of stonewalling and obfuscation so far.

From what I've heard, POTUS went to bed, had an important fund raiser the next day to get to.

Blast from the Watergate past:

1. What did the President know, and when did he know it?

2. What did the SoS know, and when did she know it? Hey, c'mon, Mrs. Clinton, you helped prepare briefs for the Watergate investigation, you know the routine, so get with it....and be careful with that PETARD!!

concerning the ....the SF team was not sent to Benghazi.

what possible reason would the
White House have
to say no?

or was it as simple as,
Obama had retired for the evening.

sending the special forces team, was not the same
as sending a jet fighter over enemy territory.
the SF team already had permission from Libya to go.

Don't lose focus on Benghazi as the lamestream media switchers coverage (not that they were covering Benghazi that much) to the sudden revelation of the IRS targeting conservative Tea Party groups for audits.

It is likely the same ploy the used when Ken Star was getting too close to the Clinton's and suddenly the Monica Lewskiny deal was "discovered."

All focus went to that and Whitewatergate and the rest were ignored.

The impeachment amounted to nothing and the GOP was left with egg on their faces while Clinton became a well-respected hero.

Keep Benghazi in the front.

Quote:
Benghazi Attack, Revisited
Updated on May 16, 2013

President Obama says the May 8 House hearing on Benghazi and subsequent reporting about it produced no new information. That’s largely the case, but the president misrepresented some facts at his May 13 press conference in dismissing the House investigation as a “political circus.”
  • Obama said Republicans acted “as if there’s something new to the story” about the talking points used by an administration official to discuss Benghazi on the Sept. 16, 2012, Sunday talk shows. But this much is new: We learned that White House Press Secretary Jay Carney falsely claimed the White House and State Department made no substantive changes to the talking points. Extensive revisions were made after State raised objections and after a White House meeting.

  • The president also said “congressional committees” reviewed emails “several months ago” regarding changes to the talking points, and they “concluded that, in fact, there was nothing afoul in terms of the process that we had used.” There was no such conclusion. Obama was referring to a February closed-door meeting in which senators viewed the emails as part of John Brennan’s confirmation. Some senators were satisfied and some weren’t. Sen. Marco Rubio, in fact, said a review of the emails “raises other questions with regard to process.”

  • Obama said he used the term “act of terrorism” a day after the attack. Not exactly. He said “acts of terror” and “act of terror.” Also that day, the president said he did not use the word “terrorism” because “it’s too early to know exactly how this came about.” Over the next several days, he would repeat that the attack began as a protest of an anti-Muslim video and spiraled out of control.

And of no surprise, testimony of SoS John F'in Kerry,

Quote:
Let's figure out what it is that's missing, if it's legitimate or if it isn't. I don't think anybody lied to anybody. And let's find out exactly, together, what happened, because we need -- we got a lot more important things to move on to and get done.

The Benghazi story gets more bizarre every week. Now we hear that Valerie Jarrett was the person who gave the order not to cross boundaries -to let the embassy attacks continue without intervention on our part. This is an order that can only be *lawfully* given by POTUS.

On one of the most important decisions of his life, our president sent in a stunt double.

A Spooky churnin' and burnin' on the tarmac at Tripoli, F-15's at Signonella, half the friggin' Air Force in northern Italy, but we couldn't send ONE air asset to save those people on the ground?

And of course, the big bomb in the closet is about to go off - why did we have all that CIA and black ops manpower in a nothing little outpost like Benghazi to begin with?

Biggest f'n "phony scandal" in history. Confused
