McCain and his service record questions.

Yes, this is prompted by the recent Trump - McCain, ah, exchange of unfriendly verbal fire.

I think that additional information about McCain's service record needed to be made public,

But as I remember, he would not release his service record to the public.

Kerry, as we all know, did the same thing.

Anyone got any good links and sources to any additional information about McCain's service past?

I find references from articles in 2008 that his records were released, but all links seem dead now.

As for me, I'm staying out of this fray as I see both men not worth the time nor the distraction from real issues affecting us.

I just wish McCain would retire and end his political career.

It is hard to criticize a guy who was held up by his arms to the point where they still show visible damage all the years later.

In a way, POWS who run for office should be even more above the fray, but who am I to ask them to do so.

This is why I wish he would just retire and be thankful of the bounty this country has given him after his horrific military service.

I did vote for McCain in 08, but would not have done so if not for Palin being on the ticket.

I think many people, like me, voted for her.

I always viewed Palin similar to the Roman Cincinnatus, the farmer who saved Rome.

If history had been taught, no doubt more people would have voted for her as opposed to a community organizer.
