Hi Swifties,
This is my first post, but I have been "devouring" your site ever since I
first saw your terrific ad. I am the daughter of a USN chaplain who
served during WWII and I have been married for over 30 years to the
son of a disabled US Army veteran of WWII who EARNED his PH. My
brother-in-law served two "real" tours in VN and retired from the USMC
after over 30 years of service. I have also lived for most of my life in
Jacksonville, NC, which, as all Swifties know, is where Camp Lejeune
(home to the Second Division of the USMC) and New River MCAS are
located.
For all of the reasons mentioned above, I am pro-military and was pro-
war. I was offended and angry at Jane Fonda and the anti-war protests,
but I was not very politically active then and did not realize the prominent
role that John Kerry played in them. I have never voted for a Democrat
for POTUS, so I would not even have considered voting for John Kerry
and his choosing our state's poor excuse for a US Senator as his running
mate only made him less attractive IMO. Unfortunately, I know that there
are many ignorant people in America who do not make any effort to
properly inform themselves before they vote. (Of course, I have an
advantage because I am a student of the EIB Intstitute of Advanced
Conservative Studies and have been since the first Persian Gulf War.)
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for caring enough about the country
that you served so well that you are willing to sacrifice yourselves
(once again) so that the American people can at least have the
opportunity to learn the truth about the man that won the "Anybody
But Bush" sweepstakes. If the MSM would do their job, it would not
have been necessary for you to take on this responsibility for them.
When the other side does not have any compunction about either
deliberately lying or at least twisting the truth, some one has to "step
up to the plate" and you have done just that. Those of us that support
you can never thank you enough for your service to our country and
your dedication to the course that you have set for yourselves. You
ARE making a difference and November 2, 2004, will see the seeds
you have sown come to fruition.
God Bless Each and Every One of You and Your Families!
Semper Fi,
Susan Morton
