As I explain under the topic "Where are the books?" Regnery Publishing is already into its THIRD PRINTING of UNFIT FOR COMMAND, and it looks like Regnery will have to start on a FOURTH PRINT RUN very soon.
This book was done on such an amazingly-short turnaround that distributing the books IS a real challenge. But there is no doubt that the demand has far exceeded the expectations of the book world (although not of Swift Boat Vets!).
Note that the official release "publication" date of the book was August 10. However, from the publisher the books must go to the distributors (wholesalers) and then to the individual bookstores. So the bookstores may be telling you the date when THEY expect to stock the book on their shelves, even though the book was already available as of August 10.
