Uhhh yeah im trying to spread the word to people about the swifts but im having a hard time wording everything correctly. Now the group i am trying to convince are all my friends and of voting age. I am the youngest and therefore unable to vote. But they are all anti bush and pro kerry.
Now im wondering how i should go about explaining everything. Should i tell them about the website or go into detail about kerrys vietnam service(or lack thereof)? Pretty much im just asking for advice on how to debate the issue and not look like an ignorant a--.
Any help is appreciated- i think i already convince my mom not to vote for kerry lol |

Madbarbarian,
If your friends are full ABB mode, it may be hard. Just get them to agree that a person without character should not be President. Then start chipping away at Kerry's credibility. Don't be shill. Be reasonable. If they come up with anti-Bush stuff, ask them to be rational and examine that too....
Basically this is a matter of character. If after your friends have all the information and they still vote for Kerry, at least you have tried. Everyone is entitled to make a mistake after all. _________________ -Polaris

Very informative and not as busy as this one.
IF they are still interested they can also come here. |

The most important trait we need in our President is integrity. Kerry has spent his life lying over the stupidest things just to make himself look good, and he has damaged thousands of people in the process. For Kerry it is all about Kerry and nothing else. Ask them to investigate. If you can get them to do that and they still refuse to see the light then they are just more absorbed in their own personal issues than they are in the well being of our country. |

Be able to back what you say with fact and documentation. Some good ones to start with that there is a lot of supporting evidence for is ,Cambodia,Kerry's senate record on defence,Senate attendence. There is allot of material available on these and they are not all Swift boat vet issues but damaging none the less |

The main thing that helps me a lot (I have a few liberal friends)
I ask them first why don’t they like Bush. I get the usual response, he lies he cheats blah blah blah, you know the same talking points. Then I ask is that why you don’t want him as President, and it’s usually a big YES!
Than with them in that frame of mind I start showing them Kerrys record, all the things he lied about after he came back from Vietnam, I show them all the things the Swift Vets have, I show them the things he’s done for (cough) the POW’s, and on and on (lot’s of things to show). By the time I’m done they’re at least thinking. Arguments with my friends about kerry are starting to come few and far between. _________________ Remember United Flight 93, "Are you guys ready?
