Anyone have any details on what happened to Donald Droz, the third OIC along with Kerry and Rood in the silver star incident? I saw a news article that stated his boat was found beached and badly damaged with him dead in April or May. I'm wondering if he might have attempted the same stunt Kerry pulled and beached the boat after being ambushed.
Only maybe this time Charlie was waiting and prepared. Perhaps the shore was mined, or those with B-40's were better positioned. _________________ "That awful power, the public opinion of a nation, is created in America by a horde of ignorant, self-complacent simpletons who failed at ditching and shoe making and fetched up in journalism on their way to the poor house."

Two places to read and view the tragic story of PCF-43 and Donald Droz
A complete battle narrative with images can be found at Silvermace II
His daughter, Tracy Droz Tragos, was only three months old at the time
of his death. Thirty-two years later she made an award winning motion
picture and documentry about her search for the father she never knew:

Thanks! The crews of the boats involved in that operation are much more deserving of the title "hero" than is John Kerry. _________________ "That awful power, the public opinion of a nation, is created in America by a horde of ignorant, self-complacent simpletons who failed at ditching and shoe making and fetched up in journalism on their way to the poor house."
