However, turns out John Edwards had plenty of deferrments on his own. I must have missed the press conference where he called Edwards a bigger coward.
And I guess if you dodge the draft, burn flags and protest in England, that's not Harkin's definition of "coward". He calls a like that "My favorite President". Bill Clinton I guess was a hero to Harkin. |

Harkin himself was caught "embellishing" his own record a few years ago. He had to change his claim from Vietnam vet to Vietnam Era vet. _________________ Clark County Conservative |

of course Cheney is a coward!
Neither him nor Bush has changed their stories, even once.
They both actually DID something, right or wrong, and stayed with the program.
A real hero would have given us eight or ten different stories by now, and probably would have changed strategies at least 3 times on the 'war on terror' and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Only giving the media one story to write about and analyze is truly gutless.
Especially if you happen to be conservative. |

If I recall correctly, Cheney missed out on the draft because his wife was had a baby within days of the time he was to be drafted. If people want to think that the Cheney's somehow managed to get God to bring the kid into the world conveniently.. uh well... then they're very odd in the head! Cheney didn't dodge. He didn't go because the selective service wasn't taking new daddies! |
