Can't you find something a bit more up to date? This claim has been discredited many times.

Why the masquerade as a nuetral person?

First off, are you even a veteran? I don't discuss veteran issues with non-veterans.

Secondly, the VA is currently spending more than it ever has in it's history.

yes i am a veteran. we are not discussing how much they are spending right now we are discussing how much they won't be able to spend if bush is re elected and how you are going to apparently discredit the budget report that the white house released.

The Dems claim that VA funding has been cut under Bush - in fact, it is at historically high levels and has increased *twice as fast* under Bush as it did under Clinton. Spending for Veterans has gone up 41% under the Bush Administration.

Funding for Veterans up 27%, but Democrats call it a cut:

Secretary Principi discusses VA Spending for 2005:
http://www1.va.gov/opa/feature/secyspchs/budget_2005_npc.htm

Quote:
President Bush will ask Congress to provide my department, the VA, with $67.7 billion in budget authority for fiscal year 2005, an increase in budget authority of $5.6 billion over the current fiscal year, 2004. This budget will build on and solidify the dramatic increase in access to health care veterans have enjoyed over the past three years, as well as allow us to continue improving benefits delivery.

Why don't you quit harping on lies. Here's the actual va increase's for the past two presidents.

http://www.factcheck.org/article.aspx?docid=144

Bush is not even remotely cutting va health care spending. I spend a lot of time at the va facilities and can tell you point blank that they have more staff and it's easier to get care than it was with clintoon.

Hehe, you posted yors as I was getting this link from the other thread 3 navy.

Why not go into details? Years in, duty stations, units if you please?

Which is the budget this year. If you served, why are you unfamiliar with the fiscal year used by the US government?

"Was" an MP, served in Afghanistan and Iraq. How is that possible? Stop loss not affect you?

Here's the first part or the article on factcheck. You lefties should have been yelling when clinton was in and my appointments would get cancelled after waiting 6 months for them and all I heard about was staff cuts.

Quote:
In Bush’s first three years funding for the Veterans Administration increased 27%. And if Bush's 2005 budget is approved, funding for his full four-year term will amount to an increase of 37.6%.

In the eight years of the Clinton administration the increase was 31.7%
