A few days ago while having lunch at a bar/grill, several TVs were tuned into CNN or one of the cable news channels. A democratic pundit was asked the question: "What would John Kerry have done differently than President Bush in Iraq?" The pundit responded the exact same way I have seen Kerry himself respond 100% of the time he is asked this question. "I would have gotten a much broader multilateral coalition....blah...blah...blah." I piped up rather rudely and loudly as asked the TV....
"Then why didn't he? We are at war and even the President would welcome help."
Everyone in the restaurant stopped and stared at me which I expected for being so rude, but dozens of people said things like. "I never thought of that." "Good question." "Makes Kerry look like a traitorous rube." "Yeah, we're at war and all oars should be in the water rowing in the same direction." "Charlie Rangle is complaining about people not sacrificing for the war, but neither he or Kerry so much as sacrificed a bead of sweat convincing Chirac to go to war as JK implies he could have done." It was like someone turned the volumn knob to full loud, the restaurant immediately turned into a babbling debate society, albeit a one sided debate.
If a moderator in a debate this fall were to ask this question and Kerry were to respond to it the way he always does, good grief.... All the President need do is butt in and ask those four little words...
"Then why didn't you?"
The only thing left for the President to do would be to choose his tux for the inauguration. It will go down in history as Benson's "You're no JFK." and Mr. Reagan's "I won't hold my opponents' youth & inexperience ..." _________________ Use in a well ventilated area |

That really is an incredible observation. Kerry was a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. |

Great question! That is a question I always ask when someone says, "You should've done it this way."
I ask, "So, where the hell were ya? Where were ya when we needed ya?" _________________

can't find the exact member but someone on here uses a siggy of:
"An activist is the one clearing up the water, not the one calling it polluted" or words to that effect.
You are either part of the solution or you are just part of the problem. _________________ Spook Group Stache

Why don't you send this email to the campaign-- a fabulous comeback!
Oh, I forgot, we're not allowed to coordinate.
Oh well. |

The reality is that nobody could have gotten the French, Germans, or Russians to join in. It was not that they were against going to war for ideological reasons. It was money! They were making billions off the oil for food deal and other contracts that they had with Saddam.
