I am a veteran of the Air Force ( 1953-57 ) and I must tell you I enjoyed the entire 4 yrs. You have made a commercial in support of John Kerry sir, and that is your right. I have read everything that I could put my hands on concerning John Kerry`s service and I hope you have too. I have concluded he is a total fraud and phony and one day you will learn that too. When that day of reality comes for you, sir, I hope you have the courage to extricate yourself honorably because you have served your country with honor and distinction.
Great Post Jack, however, it's not wise to put your service number in any of your posts. - Moderator |

The Gen is noted for being a bit eccentric. His major claim to fame as the Air Force Chief of Staff was changing the Air Force uniform to resemble those worn by commerical airline crews. This was reversed immediately by the next AF Chief of Staff. _________________ Kerry...Hanoi Jane...Murtha: same-same

General McPeak, as a retired Air Force member I say you should be ashamed of your actions. How in the world will you be able to explain your actions to your grandchildren? Birds of a feather flock together, you and John Kerry. |

General officers may be able to "put their pants on, both legs at once", but Clark and McPeak show that some of them don't know much about "real-world" politics! |

Guys,
I served in the USAF when McPeak was Chief of Staff of the USAF. He was IMHO one of the worst commanders of the USAF in recent memory....and the uniform SNAFU while seemingly minor intensely irritated all those at all chains of command...even to the point where airmen (including myself) refused to wear the new uniform.
McPeak is an opportunist and he made a political calculation about Kerry...and now he has to live with it. Sorry to be so harsh, but until I was a civilian again, my lattitude to criticize superiors was limited. _________________ -Polaris

I was in the AF also...my hubby retired AF 2000...we all know what a...ok I'll be nice...idiot McPeak was then and he is still an adiot now!!! I still break out in hives when he came out with the joke of a uniform (although I must say the new "blue" cammies they have now...are BUTT ugly).
McPeak just will make sure the majority of those who do remember him...now knows what a complete a... darn it there I go again...idiotic idea it would be to vote for Kerry. _________________ Born to raise a little hell! |

I have now had many opportunities to view the commercial and you will never know the sense of shame I felt. The Generals I served under, Gen. Nathan Twining and Curtis E. LeMay, I believe, would also be greatly offended that a 4 star could be so misguided. |
