I am sorry if this has been brought up before...

Headed to bed when I hear on the tube...

In "Tour of Duty" Brinkley writes how - 9 days AFTER the incident of the 1st P.H. that Kerry and his men on the boat were "cocky because they hadnt yet been under enemy fire." It looked like Hume was reading a quote from the book.

True, not? Significant, not?

Inquiring minds want to know. (I'd hate to have to buy that damn book - maybe if I could get an original with THE cover...)


Also, I have not been able to find out when the paper work for the P.H. was signed nor where. We know that Letson didnt sign off - I understand that Kerry 'badgered' (?) a corpsman to sign off (we'll never know, he's dead) and that his OIC DIDNT sign off on it.

Who did? Where did the paperwork originate, in the area or farther up at HQ? Where was it signed off and forwarded up the chain?

arrrgggggghhhhh!

Is it true that the 1st P.H. was the last he actually received some 3 - 4 months later? This was the one that prompted the other officers to go to him and tell him "3 and gone - pack your bags for home?"

Duplicate threads take up space and bump other topics off of the front page - that's why we try to hard to keep the duplicates eliminated.
The front page of this particular forum needs to have as many different topical, news-based threads going on as wide a variety of events as possible.
