Every single pronouncement he makes regarding this growing scandal is characterized as 'fighting back' or 'responding in kind' or 'going on the offensive' or some other phrasing which lionizes his latest efforts. Oh yeah, I almost forgot the quote, "bring it on", which they splash on their front pages as though he were Churchill confronting the forces of evil in the world  .
What they seem to overlook is the fact that Kerry has done nothing to respond to the allegations being made against him.
Could you ever imagine the media being so gung-ho over a Republican president's efforts to avoid scandal? Instead, you know it would be, "President on the defensive", or "President reeling from latest charges", or "President forced to go on the offensive", or "More questions being raised about President's conduct during war conduct", blah, blah, blah. Wait a minute, they've already done it about a dozen times with respect to Bush. 
With the rise of conservative-oriented media over the last decade we finally have voices to counter these obvious attempts at advocating for politicians for whom they have a decided preference.

The underlying belief of the MSM that causes them to think they can get away with this asymmetric reporting and patronization of the public is their belief that the majority of Americans are gullible fools.

If the media were as remotely balanced 35 years ago would millions of Vietnamese and Cambodians lost their lives as the leftist media waged war on our brave soldiers ?

If the media was balanced today the Democrats would be blown out of the water (forgive the pun  ). As it is, it's up to conservatives like Rush, Drudge, an co. to provide at least some kind of alternative coverage.
So much of the Kerry candidacy is just so lame, yet the lefties in the press fawn all over his 'war hero' status, the relevance of which is questionable in a presidential campaign.
It's like praising the swimmer who's going for Olympic Gold because he got straight A's in school. Good stuff, but what the heck does it have to do with the job at hand?
Kerry's awkward and confused run for the Oval Office should have been scrutinized long before a group of his veteran comrades decided that enough was enough.
Let's hope their efforts are not in vein. |

I think Kerry and the media really thought it would not come up. and his little habit of reacting to any criticism with " I served in Vietnam, are you calling me unpatriotic?" That shut people down and he knew it would. If the conservatives had tried to do what the Swiftvets are doing they would have been totally smeared by the liberals.
In my opinion Kerry really thought it would not happen, but if it did he had the Liberal machine to stop it. Of course, they are now spreading lies about the president and the conservatives being behind the vets. They can
never prove it as they have done nothing and never will.
Ego, conceit and a real portion of stupidity led the Kerry camp to this
time and they are having a great deal of trouble with it as they cannot beat the truth! They do not know how to spin with these men, they are
lost, they want the usual easy on them and hard on anyone who does
not agree with them. Good!
