This is the best analysis I've see thus far on the media coverage :

Actually, I think Mark Steyn is/was Canadian but also has a home in Vermont or New Hampshire. ALL of his articles are hysterical, and you should look for them if you can. He also has a website, www.steynonline.com.

I agree 100%. WOW!!!!!

I'm sure that Kerry's response to this would be that Mark has a cousin who's lawyer who used to have a housekeeper who one time was a gardner for Bush's best friend's lawyer's uncle... so therefore Bush must denounce this article.... lol

That was excellent!! What a shame that we have to go overseas to find media people that see Kerry for what he is.

If this campaign were any more inept, Michael Moore would be making a documentary claiming Kerry's a Republican plant secretly controlled by Karl Rove and the House of Saud.

LOLOL!!!!

Man, that was a GREAT article!

In Steyn's Telegraph article:

What sort of idiot would make the centrepiece of his presidential campaign four months of proud service in a war he's best known for opposing?

This is an intriguing question.

Of all things, why did Kerry choose the most controversial part of his life as the centerpiece of the campaign?

It's not like he didn't realize his role in VVAW wasn't exactly forgotten. It's like Bill Clinton running to be CEO of the National Organization for Women based on the quality of his relationships with Genifer Flowers and Monica Lewinsky.

Even a five year old should have been able to predict this would likely result in one huge, messy backlash.

I rather do like the point of Kerry's "BRING. IT. ON!" being changed to "CALL. IT. OFF!"

Some Brits make me proud to be descended from former Colonists.

Although, I'm not at all sure this "Taxation WITH representation" thing is turning out exactly the way we intended.

Ummmmm.......could it be because, other than marrying a couple of extremely wealthy women, he hasn't done a single thing of note since?--C
