Apologies would be nice, but coming this late and after all the attacks and lies and misrepresentations, I doubt it would help him much. I know I wouldn't be prone to simply accept an apology and support him.

He and others like him caused some deep wounds in many men some 30 years ago. The wounds have been slowly healing, although not entirely. Kerry comes along and rips open those old wounds again and now expects the wounded veterans to support him. FAT CHANCE!!!

If he wished to apologize, he should also express the truth about his record and testimony and his lousy votes during 19 years in the Senate. Then, Resign. He doesn't need the money.

If Kerry had a conscience, he would be ashamed. But let's face it, all that matters to him is his own power. He even turned against the anti-war crowd and many of them don't like him either.

I do not think he should apologize. He does not have the ability to be anything other than self serving and an apology coming from him would just be bla,bla,bla spewing from his mouth.

Now on the other hand if he were to plead for forgivness prostrait before THE WALL, admitt his crimes and the shame he has brought on the honorable veterans, and this great country of ours. Resign form all political office return all the public money he has taken, and give the rest of his assets to veterans organizations. Then tie an anchor around his neck and jump into the deepest part of the ocean. That would be ok with me. However I'd have to besure he wasn't using a double.
