Michelle Malkin (yummy) posts a letter originally sent to a St. Louis editorial board by one Terry Sater.

So...now we get corroborating evidence from other branches of service. My oh my it's interesting to watch a political career vaporize right before my eyes...

I found the following MOST interesting!

"On page 179, there is a reference to an incident that occurred on October 14th. Page 181 begins with; "Only a few weeks later, Kerry, on a PCF-44 patrol, observed four troop battalions from the Ninth Infantry Division at Dong Tam and five Mobile Riverine Force squadrons staging an assault for the benefit of Secretary of Defense Melvin Laird. "To facilitate putting on a good show, an area was picked out for the landing where the chance of guerilla contact was minimal." Kerry sneered. "Nothing was to mess up the show for the secretary of defense." I was with River Assault Squadron 13 during this time period. Melvin Laird was the secretary of defense from January 22, 1969 to January 29, 1973. At the high point, there were only four squadrons of the Mobile Riverine Force. The four squadrons were split into two larger groups; "Group Alpha" and "Group Bravo", in early summer, of 1968, spread out over different parts of the Mekong Delta. All four squadrons were never pulled together to put on a show for Melvin Laird."

Another lie, another leak in the dike..

Wow! What an article. I wonder if it ran. I get the post dispatch but normally just avoid reading all of the editorials!

Rut-roh! Wink

I tell ya, I LOVE watching this board - you people come up with the BEST stuff! All the media has to do is start watching this board and they'll see the unmaking of a candidate, right before their eyes.

Rock on!

Kerry didn't get to Vietnam (Coastal Division 14) until 17 November 68

Wayne_Fielder: Very excellent post! What a letter. It's true about the dissolution phenomenon. We are fortunate to be here at this time to watch and to participate however possible!
As for Michelle Malkin, the lady can stop a heart at a thousand yards, is drop dead gorgeous, brilliant and witty! AND CONSERVATIVE! Way cool!

Navy3: Right on. The key is "all the media has to do..." An age-old problem. Sure do appreciate you.

Folks please forgive my ignorance here, I smell the good find, I just dont understand it. Would you explain it (break it down) for me? There is a good chance that someone else might not catch that either.

I am not trying to be funny or sarcastic. I really want to taste the blood too! I cant enjoy it if I cant see it. I feel like Stevie Wonder during his first deer hunt.

HELP.

Clark Clifford was SecDef in October 1968.

There was NO WAY that a demonstration for Melvin Laird would be in October 1968, because Nixon isn't President yet. Johnson is.

Smell the blood now?
