Quick Note: Just heard a byte this am that Max Cleland is on his way to Crawford to hand a letter to the president asking (telling?) him to stop ads. Didn't hear exact words -- stop "all ads" or appeal against the SBV ad? The story will play out today... The part I did get, is that Max is on his way to Crawford... GEEZ.

MORE: Cleland: Letter signed by him & 6 other senators to ask Pres Bush to call on the SBVT to stop running their ads. Does not call to end by other 527s.

Those clever Democrats.

If Bush asks the Swifties to stop the ad, the Dem's will claim that Bush broke the law.

Has anyone seen one piece on the connections between Kerry and his 527's on the nets?

One?

PATHETIC. Kerry said yesterday "...the American people are smarter than that..." RIIIIGHT! He's counting on the fact that the masses are stupid enough to fall for this little game he's running with Cleland and his accomplices. Deny, Deflect, Distract...Every word in his speech yesterday - I swore he was talking about himself and his campaign...GRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Evil or Very Mad

While I doubt he will fall for this claptrap, The President has no authority to limit freedom of speech, and I don't think the SwiftVets will back down.

If Kerry has been contacting Swift Vets than wouldn’t it be fun for them to sign a letter to the FEC asking them to ask Kerry to stop trying to coordinate with them since they are a 527.

I did an article on that the other day. Also, NewsMax has done a piece. Look for the post "The Kerry-Soros Connection" in this board.

Max is kinda like the Jar Jar Binks of the Kerry campaign... just ignore him and he'll go away.

Max Cleland? Now Kerry is hiding behind a triple-amputee. Disgusting lack of courage and disgusting misuse of a veteran who actually bled for his medals.

Maybe a POW from the Hanoi Hilton could meet Sen. Cleland along the way and hand him a letter asking for an apology from Sen. Kerry. Or, in the alternative, a POW from that time and place could go to the Beacon Hill home of Sen. Kerry and do the same thing. Perhaps even ask Sen. Kerry to sign a 180, while he's at it.
