Y'know, it occurs to me that one of the most basic qualities that a person would need in order to be a good POTUS is the ability to think long range and consider the long-term ramifications of any actions s/he might take--

Considering that, John Kerry's despicible actions and testimony back in the early '70s is an indication of his lack of fitness to be president on yet another level--He was just setting himself up for a career in politics back in '71 and, true, radical anti-war activism was very popular with the Left back then--Problem is, he wasn't able to look down the road and understand that he needed to consider what it was that he was saying and the impact of his words and how they might come back to bite him in the shorts politically; that he might one day need and want the political support of the very people that he was defaming and that, by their sheer numbers, those people might well become a force to be reckoned-with--Very, very foolish--

If he can't think long range even WRT the consequences his words and actions might have on his own political future, now on EARTH can he be expected to be able to consider the Big Picture before he speaks and/or acts on behalf of the Country if he were to ** gasp! ** become President of the United States and Commander in Chief?--

Fact is, he can't--

Sorry, Johnny Boy--You just keep giving me more reasons not to vote for you--C

Because you have to be able to articulate what you believe in. You also have to be on the record consistently saying it, living it, believing it.
