http://www.washingtontimes.com/national/20040603-122407-4374r.htm

Sen. John Kerry, who delivers a major speech today on how he would reshape the military, is getting his national security ideas from a cadre of retired generals and ex-civilian officials who advised President Clinton.

.......

Oh yeah, I like where THIS is going... Rolling Eyes

Have you noticed that Kerry says all of the things he wants to do, but shows no method in HOW he's going to do any of this nonsense?

Kerry's advisors really are like a who's who of failed history students.

The only general I know from that list is Wesly Clark...... who armed al queda in the guise of the KLA in kosovo.

That don't speak to well of his awareness to me.

Do any of you other vets have some insight on the rest of that group?

I have a real hard time believing that Gen. Shalikashvili is part of that bunch. He at least has some legitemate combat time. Wes Clark was always referred to as "The Perfumed Prince" and started his political carreer BEFORE he ever set foot on the Plain at West Point as a Plebe.
I had the misfortune of serving under him when he ran SOUTH-COM.
All he EVER cared about was his carreer. He never cared about the people serving under him, only that they didn't damage his carreer. Wes Clark is another one who has a bogus Silver Star, it was originally written up as a Bronze Star and his "Godfather" up-graded it.
