This is sick!! The Swiftees supporting Kerry should decry this action against their brothers.

All I can say is this; Kerry is scared s...less of the truth or all the attack dogs wouldn't be out. We will not be silenced. Come on John! Sign SF-180

I think they have concluded that they cannot win at the ballot box.

I wonder if the Dems have something else more sinister in this action - perhaps eventually accusing Ashcroft of being part of the right wing conspiracy if he choses not to investigate?

An investigation by the Attorney General is apparently CRIMINAL in nature.

After all this--do y'all think that Kerry will ever show his face at a Swiftee reunion again? And what about the ones supporting Kerry? They're aligning with someone trying to instigate a criminal investigation against their fellow vets? Will they ever be welcome at a reunion again?

Did you notice the other new on Drudge's page?

New LA TIMES Poll: Kerry hurt by Swift Boat attacks, Bush ahead 49% -46% for the first time this year, Bush takes 15% of all Democrats, 20% of 'conservative/moderate' Democrats while Kerry takes 3% of Republicans...

I can't help but think how Kerry said he was a fighter, and wasn't going to stand by and let these "lies" happen, and turn his boat into the attack. If this is his idea of "attacking", he is a bigger ***** then I thought he was, pardon my french.

I think our Attorney General would be better served investigating the links of Kerry to Liu Chaoying, via Johnny Chung.

After that, AG Ashcroft can investigate the obvious links between the Kerry Kampers and MoveOn, and the several other 527's.

No doubt the ads hurt him. But think about this...he hurt himself more by his reaction top the ads.

Threaten advertisers, a book publisher and book sellers with lawsuits.

And then there's the endless lineup of reps that John O. ate alive. Very Happy

Sometimes people aren't as stupid as democrats think they are.

Calling on the AG is just another political ploy like Max Clelland today.

All for show.

Never in the history of elections has it been seen as a good idea to tell your opponent to stop defining his/her opponent. Particularly when the opponent is the one asking them to stop....and knowing full well that in this case the president can't tell them to do anything.

I know this is a political manuver to portray Kerry as a victim of that evil president we have...but it is bordering on " crybaby" status. Kerry wants to get off the record but every darn speech he has given the last three days he has referenced his military record in some fashion. Now he wants to only have him reference it. It is really starting to show and it is so fun to watch. I still submit he will not be the candidate by the end of September

Amazing melt down of all time.

Gee, it seems like yesterday that they were all screaming that Ashcroft was a worse threat to our country than terrorists and a jack-booted thug. Rolling Eyes

Now, they want him to be their savior?
