There is really only one explanation that fits the facts as John Kerry presents them. The Audie Murphy of the Vietnam war, engaging the enemy like a true war dog, somehow miraculously only receiving small shrapnel wounds in the ass and the arm, commanding his boat through a torrent of enemy fire from both banks of the river while saving another man's life in a hail of bullets, his boat and none of the others there receiving any hits whatsoever and no casualties at all though the air was filled with enemy fire ... why this can only have one explanation. John Kerry was up against the F-Troop equivalent of the Viet Cong. Yeah, OK. Now I get the picture. |

After reading the first post, I’m getting a mental picture of Corporal Klinger leading a swift boat against the F-Troop of the Viet Cong. |

What did Corporal Klinger every do wrong. Although a bit of a nutbar he was portrayed as a true American serviceman. This is doing a dis-service to Klinger. |

Klinger was certainly the best dressed of the bunch.
