John O'Neill took questions from Washington Post readers today:

http://discuss.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/zforum/04/oneill082604.htm
(it would make a wonderful FAQ)

gilliam...thanks for the heads-up to the forum. John takes questions from the naysayers (several of them insulting and condescending) head-on and it's a good primer on many of the issues surrounding this effort against John Kerry.

Yeah,ONeil answered a lot of tough questions quite well.

Just look at the softball questions that the Post is gleaning for Hurley!

http://discuss.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/zforum/04/auto_hurley082604.htm

The Swifties have exposed two major scandals. The Hanoi John scandal and the Lying Liberal Media Scandal. Anyone who has studied the details and all sides of this controversy realizes there is only one accurate word to describe the MSM :CORRUPT

I am sure that the Kerry campaign insisted that ONeil go first so he could not comment on Hurleys sham answers!

I love the "you looked in the wrong place" response. I don't know how the man stays so calm an level headed when these people act like they have dug up something to discredit his message. He stays on mission and on target and I salute him

All I can say is if my a** is ever in a grinder, I'd want Mr. O'Neill backing me up. In situations where I would have b*tch-slapped a lot of these questioners, he truly seems unflappable. Job Well Done, Mr. O'Neill!

Link is in first message now. Maybe it was added?

I loved this comment from O'Neill:

Quote:
We will accept money from anyone except a political campaign who gives it to us. The vast majority of our money - some 32,000 individual donations totaling $2.2 million - have come from the public generally in one of the largest genuine outbursts of public support in political history. We are happy to take money form George Sorros. Whoever donates money to us does not control our message. The message is ours.

I e-mailed my mom last night and asked her to consider a donation but she couldn't find the link so I e-mailed the link to her this morning.

That means the Post thinks he done good, and want less people to see it. Think it would have been different if he tanked it? Get the emails going folks.

The guy that asked the question mentioned "Silver Star" and then Hurley ran with that, although he HAD to have known what the guy meant. Hurley disgusts me more than just about anyone.

Hurley is a member of the VVAW.

He is quoted in Tour of Duty as having witnessed atrocities too, but is outed in Unfit.

When confronted on it, Hurley blamed Brinkley in his best John kerry fashion for the error.
