This is interesting. There is a difference in the middle initial, Rassmann on Kerry's boat was A and the one you mention is R, but I'm wondering how many James Rassmann's there are in Oregon. I'm wondering if this could be a son??

A Julie Rassmann is quoted in the LA Times speaking about her husband, Jim Rassmann, after he announced his support for Kerry earlier this year. This is very likely to be the same couple who retired to Oregon after two decades of service with LA County law enforement.
